The red coats are coming!
In honor of the 225th anniversary here is a re-enactment at Endview Plantation. I just loved this picture of the drummers, somewhere on the field you could hear pipers as well. I have so many more pictures I just am not sure what to post. I also got a few tiny little video's as well. To bad you could hear people talking over the batttle.

Visiting Dixie
Here we are on Sunday afternoon visiting with Dixie. I can't wait to be able to bring her home! She is so tiny - a couple of days ago she weighed only 1 lb! When she's fully grown they're only estimating that she's going to be 7 lbs. She has the tiniest little nose and little half "gloves" on the paws. More pictures soon.

Pet bird sunday
Today I was finally able to attend my first meeting of the VA Peninsula Caged Bird Society . I feel more then a little guilty about having gone though since the girls were sick last night, enough that John and I slept on the floor in their room. But I did have a really good time with the raffels and everything. It's nice to belong to a club again.

Queen?
Mags & Mommy
Husband thief!
Meet Magnolia
Here she is fresh from the airport. What a jet set baby she is! Of course we don't really know that our little Magnolia is a girl but that's what I'm going with for now at least. She has been in the little crate (not really so little but it is in comparison) for about 10 hours. When I went into the airport I could hear her growling all the way from the entrance. And of course there were crowds of people surrounding her - it was such a joy to go up the the ticket counter and say that's my baby - well ok honestly John's baby but we won't tell.
; - ) She has been so gentle and ever the lady since she's been home. She even picked out her own name - she made this cute little growling yeah sound and didn't respond to any of the others! What a smart girl! And so sweet - she already gives kisses as you can see in a couple of the bottom photos.
Look for more updates soon!

First LO
Just had to share my first digital layout.
The journaling says, "Opening presents from Grandma Carol. October 2006. The crowns and purses were the biggest hits. Of course, being my girly girls they loved the sparkly t-shirts and matching pants."
I made all of the parts. Now to just learn how to make more things. I can really see getting into this more. It was easy to sit and scrapbook on my laptop while John is doing his own thing and still being able to spend time together. Off to go do another one!
