McLean

Well here's the newest addition to the chaos here - a Russian Tortoise we've named McLean. He's been fun to watch and learn about. And I have even been iniated so to speak and I can tell you from experience that tortoises have a much larger poo then I certainly expected. TMI? I understand that I just wasn't expecting to be pooped on! But he's been a lot of fun. Posted by Picasa

The front of our house

Well here we are. We're the door with the copper wind pretty. You might be able to see a couple of the bird cages in the window. As you can see there are six individual apartments in one row for the housing. And our half dead and half way blown over bush. Posted by Picasa

PCU George H.W. Bush

Well here's John's new ship. Taken on a very rainy day from the James River Bridge. Not the best picture of course but at least it's something I can share. Posted by Picasa

To cache or not to cache that is the question

Well actually it's more like to be able to find said cache. We have the bug but no luck in finding. Perhaps going after a micro cache for our first & second and soon to be third attempt was a bit ambitious. But I am bound and deteremined to find that little thing. Especially since it's not even half a mile from my house.

Visiting with Ernesto 2

The front walk was starting to collect water here.
Looking down the street - the little drive on the right is where we pull into the parking lot.
Another picture looking straight out from the front door.
Standing on the porch and looking down the street - trying to capture a wind gust but no luck. Posted by Picasa

Visiting with Ernesto

I'm finally getting around to posting my pictures of Tropical Storm Ernesto. What a wild day that was; and poor Gwenie having to have her birthday that day!
This is the view directly out of the kitchen door.
Starting to collect water on the patio. Some of the boxes that were already ruined just stayed outside. You can see that we have a couple of inches out there. The door on the left is to the storage unit that we were worried about flooding.
And another shot of the backyard - nice little pond out back. The tarp is covering up John's bbq.
And finally the only picture I took out of the front door. This is looking directly across the street. Posted by Picasa
